Interesting grill

Ate 삼겹살 (Samgyeopsal) with a coworker in a restaurant right next to my house. Check out the grill. It was glass. So instead of bringing us a new grill they simply brought a scraper, moved the meat and shoved the burnt bits off. Fastest grill change ever.

If you've forgotten, samgyeopsal is thick slabs of uncured pork belly (like not salted bacon, only thicker) cooked on a grill. Also on the grill you will notice a big pile of kimchi (which is much tastier when grilled in my opinion) and a bunch of bean sprouts (also more delicious when grilled). They were placed so the fat and juices from the meat run through them as it cooks. Eat your samgyeopsal straight off the grill, dipped in various sauces, or wrapped in a leaf (romaine, perilla, some other kind...) with garlic, kimchi, onions, bean paste, etc, to taste.

We had dwinjang jigae 뒨장지개 afterwards. It means bean paste stew and it is a yummy savory stew with chunks of tofu and veggies. Be jealous of my fantastic meals.

Yes, kimchi is definitely better grilled, and I loved the samgyeopsal
